The Chiromo Lane Medical Centre participates in several activities in the community all aimed at improving the mental health of the general Kenyan population.

1. Free Mental Health Clinics
Twice every year, CLMC hosts a free mental health clinic. On this day, members of the public are invited for a screening of various mental health conditions. When found to have a certain condition, clients receive brief counseling and, where necessary, are started on medication. They are also referred to mental health professionals for continued care.

2. Symposia
CLMC holds educational symposia where various topics in mental health are explored. These symposiums are aimed at de-stigmatizing mental health and sensitizing the institutions through Human Resource Managers and Health Insurance Providers, on the need to provide mental health services.

3. Workshops
In a further attempt to promote mental wellness in the workplace, the CLMC clinical team members, visit various organizations in the corporate world giving psycho educational talks on how to maintain good mental health. The talks could explore topics such as stress management, substance abuse alcoholism, Depression, Schizophrenia among others. Contact us for more details.

4. ADHD Support Group
CLMC boasts to be the host of the only ADHD support group meetings in Sub Sahara Africa. In this support group, persons diagnosed with ADHD and their family members come together and learn more about the condition in addition to supporting each other through the challenges that come with ADHD. These meetings are held at Bustani on Saturdays 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and are free and open to the public. (see Google map)
